Image Stabilisastion
The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer takes image stabilisation to the next level, offering up to 5.5 stops of shutter speed compensation, making previously impossible handheld shots a reality.
When used with compatible cameras, you can push that stability even further, achieving up to 7.5 stops of image stabilisation, allowing sharp handheld capture in situations that will usually require a tripod.
Magnify Closer at 0.24x
The RF28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM is capable of focusing at a distance as near as 27cm at 28mm with AF.
The lens offers up to 0.24x magnification at the 70mm end, allowing you to get closer to your subject for detailed close-up shots.
Lead-Screw Type STM

UD Lenses

Dust & Drip Resistant
Built with the same durability and shock resistance as L-lenses, this lens is designed for tough conditions. The control ring and switch panel are sealed to shield the lens from sudden rain or moisture when shooting near water, and to protect the collapsible body from dust and dirt.
